Overview

Extension Bridge is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our Chrome extension handles data and what information is accessed during normal operation.

Our Privacy Commitment

Zero Data Collection

Extension Bridge operates on a strict zero-data-collection policy:

What Data Does Extension Bridge Access?

Extension Bridge accesses the following data locally in your browser to provide its core functionality:

Chrome Extension Information

The extension reads your installed Chrome extensions list, including:

Important: This data is processed entirely locally in your browser and is never transmitted to any external server or third party. The extension only accesses this information when you explicitly click the "Scan Extensions" button.

External API Usage

Mozilla Firefox Add-ons API

Extension Bridge makes requests to Mozilla's public Firefox Add-ons API (https://addons.mozilla.org/api/) to search for and retrieve publicly available Firefox addon information.

What Data is Sent to Mozilla?

The only data sent to Mozilla's API are search terms (Chrome extension names) to find matching Firefox alternatives. For example, if you have an extension called "AdBlock", Extension Bridge will search Mozilla's API for "AdBlock" to find Firefox alternatives.

No personal information, browsing history, or identifying data is sent to Mozilla.

What Data is Received from Mozilla?

Mozilla's API returns publicly available information about Firefox add-ons, including:

This is all public data that anyone can access through Mozilla's website.

Local Storage

Extension Bridge uses Chrome's local storage API to cache search results and store user preferences:
